there will be skiing at some tahoe resorts. mammoth mountain shared these photos of people enjoying the slopes on wednesday, all decked out in red, white and blue mammoth is also offering some special events this weekend to celebrate independence day. the resort says its lifts will be spinning through the end of july . the last time that happened was back in 2019 palisades, tahoe says it is closing this weekend after a blockbuster winter season. cal fire is getting a handle on a grass fire in sonoma county. skyfox is overhead to give us this view of the blackened hillside at san antonio road and d street near petaluma. you can see the retardant lines on the ground as well. that helped keep the fire contained. cal fire says forward progress has stopped and the fire has burned about 38 acres. one structure was threatened. crews from petaluma, novato and marin county were also on scene there earlier today. the santa rosa fire department posted a moderate risk of fire danger. crews posting today signed warned residents that the war
