the ferry will connect downtown tampa and st. pete with two trips a day except for saturdays and then it will be three trips. the tampa convention center, about a 45 minute ride for about 10 bucks each way. backers have high expectations. they see big possibilities here. people in st. pete might want to use the ferry to catch a lightning game in tampa. folks in tampa might want to jump on it to check out a cool restaurant on beach drive or central avenue here in st. petersburg. this is a pilot project, only running for six months or so. they thought they would just launch it and see what happens. at this point, there's a lot of adrenaline. people are psyched. there's going to be some eating and drinking and, you know, boy, this is a good project. then at the end of six months, we'll see if the numbers actually crunch. but at this point, just lots of fun for the big maiden voyage a little while from now. back to you guys. >>russell: it's -- we got water. we got plenty of it. it is -- looks like it could be okay. see you later, man

we all know about the money tampa bay lightning in to tampa's down-town.. but in a new interview with forbes.. he's being frank about the challenges the city faces.. his interview with the magazine focused on the challenges and opportunities within the city's growing tech sector.. vinik painted the city as a great place to live and home to friendly people.. however -- when asked what the city is up against.. vinik highlighted a number of college grads who want to stay local.. but aren't finding the right opportunities.. vinik says "the most significant is wages".. emerald morrow is at big cat rescue in tampa. the question some have, emerald, is why aren't these animals being released into the wild? >> reporter: the first reason is these animals have been in captivity their entire lives. it would be impossible for them to survive on their own in the tigers in north america. so the sanctuary officials say it is one of the safest options for them now. the three tigers are back in their trailer. there are two more that have already been taken inside. so right now they are waiting until it gets a little more light outside so they can take the rest of the tigers in. one of the important things to understand about this sanctuary is why it does the work that it does. many of the big cats that it takes in are ones that have been abandoned by people abused in some form or another. in this case, that facility in colorado agreed to give up 100 big cats and bears, and this sanctuary here is one of several across the country that have stepped in to save these animals. again because they would not surviv
