tara mori artie has more -- tara mori arwy has more -- moriarty. say they never intended to laid the -- raid the site. if you take a look around here, the civic setter plaza, it's right across the street from berkeley high school. you can see all of the tents that are here. some people did leave. others wanted to stick it out. folks clashed with police around 11:00 last night. officers served eviction notices early in the night and wanted the protesters out of there. some protesters complained of excessive force. >> crowd management is some of the most dangerous work in policing. crowds can be unpredictable. >> reporter: now, police say they thought they used reasonable force. police say there's been a spike in violent crime and sexual assaults at the camp. tuesday night police arrested a man for attempted rape. they are fed up. things have calmed down for the moment but legally protesters can be here from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 at night. so right now they are milling about, trying to plan their next move. tara moriarty, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> ano
