(phil johnston/tehama county assistant sheriff): the citizens of rancho tehama, they need to check on each other they need to check on their neighbors because we this individual was literally going up and down the road and shooting at random structures. so it is possible that you may have a neighbor or somebody that could be injured or hurt that we're not aware of. the 10 people injured include one little boy who remains in critical condition. local authorities say the fact the elementary school went into lockdown probably saved many lives. (grant) the superintendent of the elementary school targeted by the gunman in tehama county believes... practicing a school drill did in fact help save many lives. today, the district superintendent says, years of practicing lockdowns paid off. he says, kevin neal could have killed or injured more students during his shooting rampage... one child is in the hospital, but is expected to survive. ( vicki ) an update now on the prostitution bust in union city where 19 men were arrested... one of them was a girls soccer coach at an east bay high school.
