the terps defeat the hurricanes 75-70. just over a week ago, maryland football coach randy edsall granted danny o'brien and two other players their release from the team. but it came with some strings. they can't transfer to vanderbilt or any school the terps could play in the future. but today edsall and the university of maryland have reversed their decision allowing the players a full release. edsall said in a statement, quote, at the end of the day i want what's best for these guys and i wish them well in their futures. o'brien plans to graduate in the spring. he has two years of eligibility remaining and he will be able to play right away as long as he enrolls in a graduate program not offered at maryland. >>> first round of the match play championships, tiger woods facing fernandez constano. after falling two behind, tiger rallies on the seventh hole. he drains this beautiful 50- foot putt for bydy. then on number 18 tiger is now one up. he closes out the match with a par putt. he survives and advances to face nick w
