and then another wave starting to arrive in the north bay once again early on thursday morning. and then pushing through the rest of the bay bridge where it looks like more of the bay area could get measurable rain but this is not a significant storm, either one of these rain chances. so a tenth to a quarter inch of rain and watching out for another chance this weekend. saturday is when we'll be watching the timing of the rain. because it looks like we could see some showers in time for the 49ers game at levi stadium. if you're going to the game, just be prepared that it is only going to reach 56 degrees and there could be some off and on showers. other than that, we're going to see some pretty active weather here with some times of rain every other day. and we're dry on friday, rain chances on saturday. sunday we're also dry and then we're seeing those temperatures mainly staying in the upper autaut -- upper 50s inland. >> we're seeing slowing in the east bay in general. the commute pushes in out of the east bay and the north bay coming in for the longer drives. the altamont pass is fine and 580 is okay but slowing for 84 as you

westbound across the bridges would be your commute direction. and looking toward the bay bridge west from oakland and we see the lanes are starting to fill in now. so i think there may have been some progress on that crash and the approach which we never fully saw but did affect the volume of traffic. we see it affecting the berkeley curve and the toll plaza causing more slowing there. another crash at gilman. maybe a factor heading out of richmond and toward berkeley. we'll talk p about the dumbarton bridge coming up. >>> new overnight, chp officers arresting a driver after a high-speed chase through the south bay. the video shows officering taking the driver into custody before midnight near capital and mckie in san jose. but that chase covered parts of 280 and 680. sometimes reaching speeds as high as 120 miles per hour. officers then corralled him when he exited the freeway which we'll show you right now. we're still working to find out what started the chase or the possible charges the suspect now faces. >> live now to capitol hill and happening today, house democrat

a wet commute later on the rain is moving in right now it's just windy when i was driving on the bay bridge this morning. my car was moving back and forth they've activated the signs telling you there's a high wind advisory in place for the bay bridge. so you need to slow it down motorcyclists those of you driving trucks and vans and high-profile vehicles make sure you take it easy. one more bridge 92 your trip from hayward over to the peninsula looking good so far i don't see the trouble spots for just get out there early and be careful driving in the rain when it finally moves in will check more traffic and drive times coming up a little bit later. has no plans to intentionally shut off the power for this storm, but they are warning that it could cause unexpected outages meantime state lawmakers are pushing for changes following the planned power shut off during the fire season. a new proposed law would require utility companies like picchu knee to pay customers for intentional power shut off. the measure would put a system in place to try and bring balance to the intentional blackouts th

so only areas will see a couple of showers if you live in the north bay, sonoma county, napa, santa rosa, areas north of the golden gate bridge. so go run in the south bay, scott, okay? saturday the coastline will have a couple showers. after 9:00 a.m. the storm system breaks apart and makes way for temperatures in the fif50s, a combination of sun and clouds similar conditions for the inland valleys. by about 11:00 a.m. there it's not a big rain maker. less than 0.1 of an inch. it will dry out saturday afternoon and sunday make way. if you are headed to lake tahoe, i want to give you a heads up into saturday and sunday, we'll get a couple snow showers but monday and tuesday once it dries out, even in monterey, that will warm us up a little bit into the 40s, but look at the overnight lows, still pretty cold in the 20s, so all in all, be safe, if you're traveling up to lake tahoe, if you leave early tomorrow morning you'll be okay. if you leave later, and you're getting there into the afternoon, you might catch some of the snow flurries driving up through the sierra. i'll have another look at your full forecast coming up in fiv
