and the metering lights are turned on at the bay bridge toll plaza. p there. so if you are making that drive out of the east bay oakland and emeryville area you are going to run into a new brake lights towards the toll plaza area but you know it's not backed up beyond the parking lot there. not quite to 880. just a few delays in that area. we did have report of an accident heading to the bay bridge. westbound 580 connecting on to that highway 24 there or 24 on to 58 o i should say. there was one lane blocked and looks like they may have cleared that out of the roadway. and reports of a minor hiccup westbound 80 right at 880. everything is off to the shoulder. not causing really any delays there right now. except for the usual stuff at the bay bridge for a friday. and we still have a pocket of slowing westbound 580 just coming away from 205 and beyond that though getting over to 680. traffic is moving at the limit and look at the travel times. things are mostly in the green for 580 and eastshore freeway and highway 4 and that 101 ride looks pretty good

commute or for that matter on any of the bay area bridges. a developing story in the east bay this morning. is san leandro police dog has been found after it went missing. police shot and killed a man suspected of stealing latest on that. good morning. >> we just heard from san leandro police and they confirmed the officer involved in the shooting is an eight year veteran who recently completed training to handle a police k-9. his stock went missing during an officer involved shooting that happened last night. there was a search overnight to find a canine. the dock has been found and was not injured. this started at 11:00 last night near apple street. officers spotted a stolen vehicle and chase the vehicle into oakland with the vehicle crash. the driver of that stolen car got out of the vehicle holding what police described as an assault style firearm. the officer released his police start to go after the suspect. the officer fired shots at the suspect. we do not know if the suspect shot back. he ran about half a block and collapsed and died

the bay area. i like what i see. let's go right to the bay bridge. you can see that to be traffic there is looking very good. sometimes, i now, we have slow traffic at the bay bridge. at this morning, we do not. the san mateo bridge and the dunbarton bridge, looking good. we have just a little bit of slowing that is approaching the ultima pass. there is a crash on westbound 580 at the dublin interchange. watch for that. it is going to slow traffic and it has not been cleared yet. traffic is going to be slow as you approach the 580 interchange. let's go back to the headlines. >>> new job numbers have just came out, and they show that u.s. employers added significantly fewer jobs last month, then in june. ktvu's alyssa harrington is here to tell us what the numbers mean. good morning, alyssa. >> reporter: u.s. employers added 1.8 million jobs last month, that is more than some economists had predicted but it is nothing compared to what we saw in june, where 4.8 million jobs were added. it appears that the country is losing momentum. a lot of that has to

the richmond sandra fell bridge. we're checking traffic from the east bay to the north bay. so far so good 6 minutes here right on time from the tolls to one on one. we do have a stretch of slowing on the nimitz so if you have to get to downtown oakland or maybe san francisco. i'd say avoid the nimitz for now stick with 5.80 west because we have some slow traffic from the coliseum to just north of fruitvale and still no reason as to why nothing reported in the area. 27 minutes for your drive times so still quite slow once again take 5.18 said if you want to save some time checking out some more numbers for you highway 4 at the limit no problems with 6.81 oh one still looking good 27 minutes from san jose to menlo park takes all right, thank you very much robin. >>let's get back to one of our big stories this morning. the firefighting effort and firefighters are getting the upper hand on some of the wildfires burning across the bay area. yeah let's take a look at the latest containment numbers of the fires right now the scu lightning complex fires. those are the ones burning

there are delays at the bay bridge. lights were turn on around 5:30 it is already backed up beyond the 880 overpass. we have a crash on the lower deck of the bay bridge and it has cleared out. things are okay out of the city into the east bay if that is where you were going. an accident on south 880 and 237 has one lane blocked. once you're on 237 westbound, trying to get onto 101, it is a little tough out of alice. there is a broken down vehicle causing metal areas backup in and around there. there's a trouble spot on 37 in the north bay and 121 arnold drive. the crash, one lane is blocked and there is some speed down to two miles an hour. traffic is crawling. westbound 37 near merritt island is not doing so well. hen we ha both dons near 80 are are in still completely shut down and as you work your way from 128 and 121, there are parts of solano county low and 121 and silverado trail that are impacted. >>> help is starting to pour in for bay area fire department affected by the wildfires. >> visible to carry a firearm
