the back. it happened this afternoon in northeast d.c. fox 5's karen gray houston has been working the story. >> that 31-year-old rite aid manager was taken to a hospital where he underwent surgery. he is resting tonight in stable but serious condition. within the past hour police released that surveillance video. it is very graphic. the tape shows the suspect caught in the act of trying to rob the store. rite aid's cameras captured the suspect gun in hand. you can see him pointing the weapon at a store employee. the bandit is very bold and doesn't wear a mask. police think the man is around 50 years old. as you can see, he's wearing a bright colored red hooded sweat shirt, blank pants and a white or khaki baseball cap. immediately after the shooting rite aid hire an armed guard to provide security at the store. the drugstore was closed behind yellow police tape the rest of the day. police say it all started when the gunman walked into the store around 12:30 in the afternoon. one clerk was able to get away. the store manager heard a commot
