the fremont street off ramp from the bay bridge also shut down. it is now open this morning.ar that skyscraper. >> reporter: hi, natasha. they say that we are safe but they do still have one precaution in place. check this out. tehama is closed here at 1st street. police officers have been stationed here all night. so they don't want anyone coming down this area just in case and they still have 44 tehama closed. crews were working -- they're going to be working today to do work on this issue. they plan to remove the pump that caused the problem, so they still have a lot of work to do. this is a residential high-rise that is under construction and one of the hydraulic struts failed. that caused that slab of concrete to start leaning at 15 degrees. that scaried everyone so that is why they shut down the area but last night, firefighters gave the all-clear. >> city inspectors from the department of building inspections as well as our partners with the contracting team have concluded that after their efforts of shoring this building, we are now safe. >> reporter: firefighters wen

governor brown's preliminary budget reflects a reduction in the overall general fund. fremont school officials had predicted the district would get over $260 more per student beginning in july. as the budget stands now, that number would shrink to $76 per student. the district is remaining optimistic. it wants to hire 48 more teachers for the new year. >>> san francisco muni is trying to come up with a new way to keep cars out of the sunset tunnel. muni street cars have run through that tunnel since 1928. it is no secret you're not supposed to drive there, but every now and again, drivers get in it anyway. our media partners looked into this problem and they found out this has happened 24 times just since 2010. you can see what happens there. cars get stuck on the tracks. it disrupts service on the muni line for hours. now muni is trying to come up with a solution to keep cars out of the tunnel. >> we're planning to add more speed bumps on the road later this week and we're going to do a full assessment to see what else we can do, whether that's more signage, more lighting. >>
