this brings me to the los angeles times obituary. after i send the article watch the newspaper every day. the obituary was important for me and my family because it would give our mother the notoriety she deserved but never received during life but another week went by and i hadn't seen it published. i called the newspaper's obituary department and was referred to a lady named barbara. i asked if she received the obituary for mary sherman morgan. she said she had received it but decided not to print it. instead, she said they were unable to print it because they could not verify independently verify any of the information in the obituary article. over the next three weeks i had many conversations with barbara sending notes and copies of my interviews, signed affidavits from co-workers but it wasn't enough. my mother's lifelong insistence on privacy had intentionally or unintentionally written her out of the historical record. there was nothing in the historical record of any of her accomplishments. one day i open the los angeles times

we can learn a lot by looking at our colleagues in the los angeles area. we can do the same in the bay area. at the federal level we have a new federal level from north carolina. we've got continued barnship at the federal level and two transportation bills for 2014. we've got the same situation repeatedly where two bills are significantly different we're going to have to have them compromised. there will be another continued resolution and it's not a great way to do the capital funding. it provides a great deal of uncertain. one piece of good news it's not set yet but both the house and senate appears to continue the full amount of $50 million. and we'll keep an eye on that. i want to draw your attention to the fee registration program. the board approved $8.12 billion and we're talking about the status of the project as well as the funds that were not allocated. there was a promise to the voters that there was one of the policies the board adopted if the funds are not allocated in the year then the funds can be move forward forward. there's in the told th

this next picture is out of the window of the second studio in ocean park in los angeles. the first one was just a windowless room quite small. the second one had wonderful windows that you put a stick in to keep open. i have always believed that something about that imagine give him a shove in the decision of some of the things he was dealing with in the ocean park picture. we'll see an example of that from 1970 a year after that one i just showed you. and, yes it's still the same studio window by it's getting more a bit tracked. i do remember seeing him working. he was very physically involved in the paints and canvas. there would be a lot of aggression. his hands were strong and he used the strength to express his ideas. he often drew at home and i remember the same connection to paper which was attached to a board. sometimes he was so involved he'd go through the paper. then an elaborate portion of the paper he would glue on the extensions in various places. sometimes, it seems like this expectation was as important as the drawing itself. the next picture is lock one wh
