he was one of the two inmates that escaped a max mum security prison in upstate new york three weeks ago. this story has captured the nation's attention. cbs reporter kenneth craig joins us from new york, kenneth? >> reporter: betty, this is the small hospital here where david sweat was brought before he was transferred >> reporter: an alert new york state trooper spotted david sweat walking down the street in new york, about two miles from the canadian border. the police say sweat was shot twice and was arrested on sunday. a convoy of emergency vehicles rushed the convicted cop killer to malone. >> everyone around here has been nervous. >> reporter: they traveled 20 miles after breaking out. matt's luck ran out on friday. he was shot and killed when the police say he refused to surrender. an autopsy listed matt's death was due to brain injuries due to gunshot wounds to his his head. bug bites, blisters and he was intoxicated. as for sweat, the police are eager to learn more about his life on the run. >> reporter: the authorities, tonight, they went on to say they think they were using pepper to throw off the police and thei

national republican voters. that's not going to get him in the race. in the latest fox news national poll he hits 2%. s it in, maybe. that said in the same fox news national poll, the overall top two national finishers are jeb bush first and donald trump in second place nationwide. as the process of the republican primary basically breaks an the reality show guy beatles the governors so they can't really compete for the nomination but he can, there's one candidate who by a large, clear margin is having the biggest impact on the ground as a presidential campaigner. just in terms of the sheer size of his campaign events this guy is blowing everyone away in terms of the number of people showing up at his events. the ease with which he is able to conjure large crowds but larger crowds than any other person running. he filled this gym in denver this weekend. it is a capacity of 2600 people. when he showed up, that room very quickly hit capacity and then they filled up the lacrosse field and all of the bleachers next door. 5,000 people turned out. the campaign said they only organized it with a few days' no

misty copeland is now the first african-american ballerina named principal dancer at new york's american ballet theater. one of the nation's most prestigious companies. she's been with the theater about 14 years now. nearly eight as a soloist. as principal dancer she breaks new racial and gender barriers. in april copeland and washington ballet theater brooklyn mack dazzled audiences at the kennedy center where they became the first african-americans to dance leading roles in a major classic ballet production. because of her muscular body and her race, dancing her way to the top has been tough. copeland talked to me about the struggles and the stereotypes. >>> you are so used to seeing a certain type of person dancing these roles that it's hard to allow yourself to envision yourself in certain roles. so it's not something i ever really thought i would do. >> earlier this year, she made the cover of "time" magazine as one of the most influential figures of 2015 and written a memoir and a huge children's book and starred in those popular under armour commercials. >> congrats to her. >>> where's the beef? the u.s. government
