the greater bay area by tomorrow afternoon. the second weather system is due late tuesday night in the north bay. wednesday morning across the bay area. we see this wet pattern continuing through midweek before we can look for anything to dry out a bit. right now, most of the rain piling up on the north coast, but the tail end of the system will be moving through the north bay and across the bay area here through the evening, into tomorrow, as a wet pattern sets up through midweek. again, the second system out here is stronger and wetter, which will likely bring significantly more rain to the area. as we take a look at future cast here, you see the first frontal boundary through the bay area by tomorrow afternoon, generally speaking less than a tenth of an inch. greater rainfall expected early wednesday. that could be up to an inch for the greater bay area. then north looking for 1 to 3 inches of rain possible by that time. so it will be a good rain maker for the area here, even though it is about a month early. we see again monday, light morning dew, into tuesday and wednesday. thursday morning,

our satellite view is showing low clouds over not just the east bay shoreline, but out towards livermore. in the north bay, that is where we see the fog at ground level with santa rosa coming in at a quarter mile visibility. in the south bay, overcast conditions. in terms of where temperatures are, numbers have not changed a lot. when will the temperatures begin to rise? we have a really deep layer of cool marine air filtering into the valley. we have cloud cover. fog tracker 4 is set for 8:00 a.m., by 10:00 a.m., the east bay valley is will be in the clear. much improved sky conditions there. by 11:00 a.m., oakland and the east bay shore line will be in the clear of that cloud cover. not until 1:00 a.m. will san francisco be in the clear. it will roll back at around 8:00 p.m.. we will not get as much warming as we would like. only a degree or two warmer than yesterday. a mild afternoon. oakland's only up to about 69 degrees. 72 in hayward and fremont. in adults up, 78 or 79 degrees. man-upper 70's through the 680 corridor, the san ramon valley. we are going to warm things up for the weekend. tomorrow

rain develops on monday, probably by about 10:00, 11:00 in the north bay. reading across the bay area throughout the day. we are talking an evening commute that will be wet on monday and more raindrops on tuesday. the big system holding off until wednesday. here's the first weaker system that is right now just off of crescent city. no one is looking at rain yet. it swings through quickly. then conditions will go downhill after the weekend. the next system, the stronger one, coming in on monday. and then the monday afternoon commute will be wet so you really should clear out the storm drains, prepare for that rain coming our way not only on monday but we are talking about this area of high pressure that usually keeps us dry really phasing away throughout the middle of the week. by wednesday the next system heads our way which could bring one to three inches of rain in the higher elevations of the north bay mountains. we are talking about mountain snow above 7,000 feet, wendy conditions and then things really clear up here not until thursday. taking it hour by
