we will begin by looking at the ride heading through the northbay. this is 101 heading through santa rosa near highway 12. that earlier crash at 11 near mendocino, that has been updated and we have new word that the offramp currently is shut down. northbound 101 at mendocino avenue, that is the offramp that is currently close. we are tracking a pretty bad mess along aviation boulevard near concourse boulevard. a car hit a water main and a tree and is causing quiet a bit of water damage to the buildings along that stretch. the crews are out there and this will be quite the mess. you will want to avoid that stretch of roadway. other than that, the right along 101 looks okay. 37 sing the usual slowdowns as you make your way near the lakeville highway. about a 35 minute ride between 80 and 101. speaking of 80, we have a new accident that is currently blocking the solano avenue offramp. we are seeing the usual slowdowns westbound as folks make their way along the esure freeway. it is a slow stop and go right. 20 minutes toward the maze. metering lights are

as far as the amount, from now until wednesday northbay could get up to two inches. la an inch. south bay possibly half an inch. the coastal mountain ranges will see the most between an inch and a half and up to three inches. more storms thursday, friday, saturday morning. that could double our rainfall totals. as far as the wind, tonight get ready. it will get pretty breezy around 4:00. overnight the gusts could be as high as 40 miles an hour, especially for the coastal mountains, the coast and the hills. all across the bay area will be breezy. the wind and snowfall across the sierra is why we have this winter storm warning starting at 1:00 tomorrow and lasting through wednesday afternoon. 1 - two feet of snow expected for the storm. snow levels will begin at 6000 feet. dropping down to 3500 feet by wednesday. blowing snow in low visibility. all of that is very likely from now until wednesday night. beyond that until saturday we could see even more. it will be a wet system and will stay wet in the forecast all the way through saturday morning. we will finally dry out

the burn zone... created in october's northbay firestorm. ....the burn areas being more subceptible to flash flooding, mud and debris flows. crews have surrounded property lines with straw wattles to keep man made materials from getting into watersheds across the county. crews have also sprayed hydroseed on roadsides to encourage grasses to come back to help keep the soil in place. the county is not the county the county is not expecting this storm system to produce enough rainfall to cause any real problems...but it's still having extra firefighters working overnight...just in case the unexpected happens.
