today's topic is the state of the national park vista. and we all know as the chairman pointed outthe 2020 was a historic year . no one could have predicted the impact of covid-19 on our way of life and economy i truly believe our national parks were a refuge for many americans during the pandemic . it was good for the soul that americans visited their national parks . parks allow folks to get outdoors, away from the crowds and experience the beauty and history of our country and this is borne by thevisitation numbers . i'll share some numbers from yellowstone national park. despite being closed down for a short time and have a few international visitors, yellowstone national part still had 3.8 million visits. about that. that was a slight decline from 4 million in 2019. in 2021, visitations are getting along average ice each month and i also share the chairman's prediction that we will have record years at our visitation this year. as it warms up in montana times it takes time to do that as we had snow in galveston valley. smaller parks l
