the closure of 280 and 101ment a major slow down for fans coming up and down the peninsula. alan wang joins us live from 280 and pennsylvania ave where crews are hard at work. >> they are, ama. so far the seismic retrofit project is on schedule. these crews have been working around the clock. they just finished cutting away this section of i-280. they will lay in rebar and concrete and it will allow cal trans to replace two bridge hinges giving the span more flexibility. the gap in northbound i-280 means this stretch of highway is closed from the 101 junction to king street. this is the route that normally takes giants baseball fans coming from the peninsula to at&t park. tonight there was a late crowd coming in for the 7:00 game. many fans were navigating a new route. >> i think going forward i wouldn't take any of my own vehicle or transportation of my own vehicle. i would take public transportation because it is more convenient. i don't want to deal with the parking. >> use cal train. i think that's the best option you can use. >> those who did drive chose not to take the
