they are only a couple blocks away to immediately respond to the crime and hopefully apprehend the perpetrators of the crime. we are able to do that. the officers have to come from somewhere. i had to change the hours of officers, change assignments, take them from specific assignments and put them in gang abatement. in general, we have officers whose primary duty is prostitution abatement. well, there was no prostitution abatement for 3 or four weeks, because we had them there to abate gang violence. we were also supplemented by officers from the gang task force, members of both units who did phenomenal jobs. they were right in there on the frontlines with us and we're very diligent, and we really appreciate their assistance. we also conducted numerous adult probation searches, accompanied with an adult probation officer who was very helpful. we conducted numerous juvenile probation searches with a juvenile probation officer. these probation search is resultedin
