bright spot for the east bay happens to be the shoreline down the nimitz freeway and looking at an easy ride. san jose, the south bay dry commute. good moat. peninsula gets dry. and we have light sprinkles out there along the coastline. for san francisco we are looking good. different story for north bay. in marin county. right around san rafael, we are looking at the possibility of heavier rain. we will push in and use the magnifying glass and focus in on san rafael and how heavy it is coming down at the moment. we will get a sample right in the middle of the yellow. 5/100th of an inch per hour. falling at least in that little bit of wet weather that we are seeing there in yellow. the rest of the green showing light rain. trace amounts or 1/00th of an inch and that holds true for the rest. north of santa rosa, it is beginning to take shape and by the noon hour, that heavy wet weather will begin to center itself over the north bay. here it is. that's what we saw on the radar. heavier rain north of santa rosa. we will push the clock to noontime. it engulfs the north bay. advancing the cl

west of the shoreline and we have had all the moving in to. the rains are scattered tonight.y good cluster downstate. look at how the storms moved toward chicago. there's lots of lightning it encounters the lake air and then it stabilizes except for the rain. we are getting some big as thunderstorms are occurring in southern indiana tonight. we think if the thunder is pretty low but rain and drizzle will come and go throughout tomorrow and tomorrow night then a real chill comes in. 13 twisters reported across the state's today. the season has revved up again today. a tornado watch is in effect downstate. this is a decidedly cooler air mass but you see the chilly air appear by the time it gets to monday there will be a front that back doors down into this area and will call us off. winds are light and variable. we will come back and talk about the cool off that is due early next week. this will be a weekend that will be about 20 degrees or more colder than it was last weekend when we broke records in the '80s. tomorrow extensive cloudiness and cool with some fog and drizzle at
