the temple university community is on alert after a student was attacked at gunpoint. phia police say the victim was sexually assaulted and robbed not far from temple's main campus. nbc 10's jesse gary is following this story live from the digital operations center. what measure has the university taken? >> vai, i just spoke to people it will university officials. they say the police department is increasing patrols around the southern border of the university. specifically jefferson street. they also say they sent out a tweet urging their followers to show caution is, spread the word and report any suspicious activity to school officials. minutes before midnight, philadelphia police officers say the victim in this case used an emergency alert system to contact them. she told them she was walking home from the library about 45 minutes prior in the 1400 block of carlisle street. the suspect attacked her from behind armed with a small handgun with a silver handle. she says he hit her with the gun, pushed her up against the wall in a construction area then sexually assault
