(matt) ktiv's tiffany lane was in vermillion today and has the details. tiffany? matt and sheila, the words "we date rape" were spray painted in yellow on the phi delta theta fraternity house on sunday morning, according to vermillion police. fraternity members of the house on the intersection of dakota and clark streets contacted the school and police when they found it. police believe it happened between three and five a-m. the fraternity did not have cameras to catch the act and there were no witnesses. usd officials are reacting to the controversial words spray painted on the side of the fraternity house. "it is a very big statement against the fraternity," said laura rood, director of usd. "but the university has no reports on file of any sexual assaults and so there's no reason for us to believe that we need to investigate the fraternity. we're really more concerned for their well-being at this time." fraternity members cleaned up the spray paint after police were on scene to investigate. according to vermillion police, there have been no other cases of vand

ktiv's tiffany lane is at north high school where organizers are getting ready. tiffany? sheila, organizers have been preparing for the last few hours for this special night. doors will be opening soon, so they are putting the final touches before the frenzy begins. around 3:30 volunteers began putting up signs. they are trying to make it as easy as possible for caucus goers to know where they need to go. and once they make their way inside, organizers say there may be some people sporting personal signs promoting individual candidates. here at north high, which is one of the largest woodbury county republican caucus locations. and it may look pretty empty right now, but doors open at 5:30. (sheila) have organizers said turnout they're expecting? (tiffany) yes, the reporter at north high says she thinks there will be about 750 which is more than last election cycle. coming up at news 4 at six, i'll have more on what she said about the importance of the iowa caucuses. sheila? in less than two hours iowans will head to the polls to cast the first votes of the 2016 election

that's where ktiv's tiffany lanee joins us live. tiffany? sheila, this is a night organizers have been preparing for for months. and half an hour ago, coming through the auditorium doors here at north high. there are about 120000egistered republblans who can come to this location. organizers are putting the final touches on preparations. they have already started checking in caucus-goers. and put up signs so that participants know where to go once the event starts. this is one of woodbury county's largest republican caucus locations with four precincts. north high reporter suzan stewart will be sending results baba to des moines. "all eyes are on iowa tonight," said suzan stewart, nhs republican caucus leader. "i don't think unless you've had your head in the sand for the weekend, you realize this is a very important night. probably most important because nobody really knows what's going to happen." now caucus-goers are allowed to bring candidate signs in with them as long as they don't put them on the walls. they are also allowed to promote

tiffany? matt and sheila, it's a case that dates back to an incident, in 1990, in downtown sioux city. one man died, and wanatee went to prison. << on may 17, 1991 a judge sentenced elias wanatee to a life prison sentence without parole following his conviction on a charge of first- degree murder. the sentence stemmed from the fatal beating of kelton decora outside a sioux city bar in november 1990. the woodbury county attorney's office told ktiv that-- after he was sentenced-- wanatee filed a motion because he didn't believe his attorney had his best interest during the trial. on august 31, 2001, the first-degree murder charge was changed to second-degree murder. with the new conviction, wanatee's sentence was changed... from life without parole, to a sentence not to exceed 50 years. because the murder happened before 1996, iowa law says for every day wanatee spent in prison, he would get one-point-two days taken off his sentence. that led to his release on january 10, 2015. in october 2015,
