enter tiffany's.get their diamonds through direct sourcing mostly in south africa, botswana, and canada. they spend tens of millions of dollars and vertically integrating the supply chain so it does most of its own cutting and polishing. it founded an initiative for responsible mining. now it is bringing you into the process. tiffany's is tracing each individually registered diamonds with an invisible serial number etched on by laser. you can find out the country of origin for the diamond you want to buy, and by 2020, you can get the cutting and polishing workshop location, an industry first. the question, will it make a difference? we recently caught up with the tiffany's ceo to talk about the company's plans for more transparency in the diamond business. >> there can be responsible mining. we found responsible sourcing in diamonds. without to know where the diamond comes from. >> how difficult is it to provide this information? >> that has been a big undertaking for tiffany. we started 20 years ago

welcome tiffany kearney. >> good afternoon commissioners and president serina. this grant is for intergenerational programming. it is one of six that i will be presenting for the commission's approval. the community research conducted for the dignity fund needs assessment reevealed older adults desire opportunities to interact with youth. they appreciate gatherings that are inclusive of all ages and enjoy contributing to their community. because of these findings, as of a recommendation in the needs assessment report, the department is supporting six new intergenerational programs to meet the needs. all of the intergenerational programs cultivate shared experiences, promote ongoing participation and support relationship building to help address social isolation, a problem that we know many of our clients are at risk for. the program creates opportunities that will allow our consumers to share their knowledge and skills and experience. this will also help reinforce feelings of being valued community member. bay view senior services program will be coordinated at
