tim furlong talked about what they went through, tim? >> this is nuts if you think about what happened here. this is a quiet street, the building there where the scene happened, all the houses here. it's a neighborhood. they were evacuated. dozens of family, in fact, stuck here in this building, hiding in the buildings for hours. in fact, my partner and i went up and watched with the families up in one of the top apartments as this unfolded outside their door. >> i heard six gunshots in the morning around 9:30. >> reporter: hard not to hear the shots and chaos that followed. >> pop, pop, pop, and it went on, and then all the cop cars and helicopters and the swat team. live with machine guns. >> reporter: folcroft is like any other town, but this was not normal. armored vehicles, officers with machine guns, neighbors forced from their homes while the man hunt was underway, and just a few floors up, you saw across the street, frightened residents running out one by one, hands where swat could see them. no, not normal, in fact, it was scary
