correspondent mike tobin is live again this evening in fox lake, illinois. hi, mike. >> reporter: and bret, as the manhunt continues we have late developments. just a short time ago we saw a large group of officers it looked like federal agents, sheriff's deputies and a couple of local police officers, heavily armed. some of them wearing body armor. desend descended on a house in fox lake. that has wrapped up in a short period of time. police will only say that it is part of the investigation and this intense manhunt. thornlts authoriti authorities appear to hold back nothing trying to find the cop killers. helicopters, dogs, personnel from federal local and state agencies. two white males and one black male. all the effort and all the intensity only ruled out the search area. >> after a 14-hour intensive manhunt for these individuals, the perimeter was pulled last night at approximately 10:30 as the individuals were not located within that perimeter after being extensively checked. >> reporter: lieutenant joe gliniewicz confronted the suspects on tuesday mo

let's get the latest now from correspondent mike tobin who's in fox lake right now. hi, mike. >> reporter: and bret, the manhunt is centered in this area known as the chain of lakes, a weekend or vacation area for a lot of people who live in the city. taking live pictures as we can see what is happening. police officers say they are looking for three suspects. two of them described only as white males, one described as a black male. it is presumed that they are armed and dangerous. dangerous because they're linked to the slaying of a police officer. armed because when backup arrived on the scene, that officer who was gravely wounded or dead, his weapon was missing. that is part of the search. a massive search as you mentioned before. state police, local police, and federal agents have all descended on the scene. they seem to be paying a lot of attention to brush and a lot of the growth that has happened this year due to an unusual amount of rain in this area. all available resources have been marshalled. here is lake county sheriff's detective chris cavelli. >> we ar

mike tobin live from fox lake, illinois with the latest. >> reporter: a lot of home for the investigators is hanging on that video. there are a number of homes around the industrial area where gliniewicz was killed. some of them have security video. one homeowner said he captured the image of three individuals who fit the description of the suspects. sow the hard drive from his security system has been sent to the department of homeland security. the department of homeland security has the best equipment to review that video. so they are hopeful it will produce images of individuals police hope will end up relevant to this case and will be able to enhance a broad description of the individuals police are looking for. yesterday we learned that lieutenant gliniewicz's gun was recovered but police are being judicious in the amount of information they give. they are not saying whether it was fired or whether the gun was used to kill him, whether the suspected should be considered armed. they are only saying they should be considered dangerous because they aren't cop killers. there is nothing

lou: mike tobin reporting.n baltimore six police officers will face trial in the case of freddy gray. baltimore state court judge today denied to defense motions, a motion to dismiss the case for alleged prosecutorial misconduct and a 2nd motion to recuse the state prosecutor from the case. attorneys for the police officers argued the comments make a fair trial impossible in baltimore and that her announcement of the charges against the police officers amounted to a pep rally. today's pretrial hearing comes almost five months after gray suffered a fatal spinal injury while being transported in a police van. a chargesthe charges range from assaults of vehicular manslaughter. all six of pled not guilty. days of unrest, writing command looting. protests today mostly peaceful. one person was arrested, 2nd hearing will be held next thursday to determine whether the trial goes forward in baltimore or will be moved outside the city. the actual trial is scheduled to begin in october. we are coming right back with much
