republican members of the leadership team who just left kevin mccarthy's office, richard hudson and tom emmer. both said the vote will happen at noon. they expect that to happen and the reason why they don't have the votes to delay it democrats he don't want to supply help and want kevin mccarthy to go through this again where he's almost certainly expected to lose the votes to become speaker. one of the problems has been that mccarthy emissaries dispatched over the past day to try to get a deal with these dissidents have had a hard time actually nailing down the exact demands of those opponents. they want to understand what exactly they want, come back to the rest of the republican conference and say, can you all agree to this, but they have not been able to get those in writing, which is why they are in a position where they are now where they are expected to lose this vote again and, jake, the real fear is that the opposition will grow and will undercut any effort for mccarthy to regain any momentum here which is why this moment so critical for mccarthy, the house and the republican party.

house republican whip tom emmer in "focus" for the first time.dana: disgraced crypto boss sam bankman-fried is defending himself on twitter and authorities seized assets and money. >> sam bankman-fried has never been known for keeping a low profile. the nearly $7 hundred million seized since the beginning of the year. just a few weeks' time. this it comes as he awaits an october criminal trial facing eight counts of fraud. he shared months ago he only had $1 hundred thousand left in his bank accounts. the assets came from a number of banks but majority came from robin hood shares purchased using stolen customer funds. early last year bankman-fried revealed he had bought roughly $648 million worth of shares a 7.6% stake in the investment app. the shares are valued now roughly around $530 million. the shares of particular interest. they were supposed to back a $680 million loan from ftx sister company to the exchange block buy that they defaulted on. he claims he is innocent and accusing management about a fake narrative. he tweeted this. ftx u.s.

need to go in mccarthy's direction, specifically the number of members who have been huddling in tom emmer's office, just a floor below where we are right now, trying to hash out what they might need in order to get to either yes or in the case of members who don't want to vote yes, possibly voting -- one of the things like congressman scott perry, is the idea that the concessions that were made overnight might have been helpful to some people but not to this entire group. for example, you've got scott perry tweeting, and he echoed this in the hallway, because the concessions were leaked overnight was a breach of trust and that doesn't help to move this along. which of course the leak that he is talking about came from congressman matt gaetz, to some of our colleagues who were here just as late as we were last night. so it's sort of, it gives the idea that while some of these members are negotiating, in good faith, trying to get things that we've seen already, like allowing one member to trigger a vote on the motion to vacate, that's one of the concessions that they got overnight, some of th

mccarthy hasn't been in the room for these notionations, instead downstairs from where i am in tom emmer's office, members have been shuttling in and out all day, only taking breaks to go up to the floor, cast their ballots and come right back down. it really underscores the entire reason we're in this position, when half the people in the negotiating room are only leaving to go keep casting votes against the guy that they're in the room negotiating to be for eventually. so that has been the real mood here on capitol hill. many of those lawmakers have been mum as they have been going in and out, but what our sources are now telling me and others on the team tonight is that they are close, but this deal that they're hashing out right now, which they talk about as putting meat on the bone and actually putting it in writing so people can read the concessions being made, among them are the idea of one member being able to trigger that motion to vacate, the ability to basically oust the speaker. that's something that mccarthy conceded on overnight last night. that's of course still on the table
