tom: and i'm tom griffith. new hampshire has seen 20 outbreaks of norovirus since the first of the year. jean: kristen carosa is joining us live in the newsroom with the latest information from health officials. reporter: new hampshire health and human services september out a statewide alert about the norovirus earlier this month, they have seen 20 outbreaks since january 1. h.h.s. says concord christian academy was closed due to an outbreak there. according to its website, 196 students go to the school. no word on how many students and staff were affected. h.h.s. says the yearo virus is typical of this time of year, they see a spike in outbreaks december through march, the virus can cause vomiting, nausea and diarrhea and there's no real treatment. outbreaks are typically found in large settings such as health care facilities and schools because it's highly contagious. and 100 outbreaks a year. >> the best way to prevent these outbreaks is to make sure that people who are ill stay home when they're not feelin

good evening, i' m tom griffith. shelley: i' m shelley walcott. federal safety agency osha revealed today that the circus did not build the tent severe weather alerts. wmur' s stephanie woods has our top story from lancaster. stephanie 6 months after the : circus tent collapsed here on the lancaster fair grounds the community is still reeling. now osha has found that the tent company was negligent, but some say it' s no victory. >> it was scary. it was very scary. stephanie: on august 3, -- joann rushed to the scene with her husband, the lancaster county fire chief. >> there were kids crying because their parents were scared. there was still a little bit of wind and rain and it looked unreal. it was like a movie. those things don' t happen in places like this. stephanie: osha released a report thursday saying that the circus operator, walker international events, failed to put up the tent properly and miles per hour winds. >> it was not properly staked. the stakes were not of the right size or design. they did not follow the professional engineer'

i'm tom griffith. shelley: i'm shelley walcott. even if you bundle up when you head outside, it may not be enough to fight off the chill this weekend, let's send it over to mike haddad. mike: we got a taste of it early this morning with the coldest air so far this season this morning. tonight not as cold, but then the real cold air builds in take a look at the morning lows from earlier today. 8 below in berlin and whitefield. well below zero in the upper valley and monadnock region. even concord down below zero for the first time since last march. and just a bit above that manchester towards the coast. four below in nashua. right now it's 21 in manchester. no major wind chill to contend with right now because those wind speeds are not that strong. but they really crank up tomorrow afternoon as temperatures start off seasonably chilly, but only get colder through the afternoon. so by later tomorrow into early on sunday, wind chills as low as 40 to 25 below zero. that means frostbite can occur in only 10 to 15 minutes during that tim

good evening, everyone, i'm tom griffith. jean: and i'm jean mackin. the snow will change over to rain as we move into tuesday, let's get right over to chief meteorologist mike haddad for the latest. mike: very tricky for traveling over the next several hours and especially overnight into early tomorrow, as the temperatures 32-degree mark. but even though they've been rising, they're still well below 32, holding in the upper teens to around 20. we've seen a batch of very light snow move in over the past couple hours, from a dusting to a half inch in many spots from the lakes region points south. from the lakes region to the mount washington valley, that's where this first batch is continuing to produce steady light snow, but just flurries to the south. connecticut, rhode island, points south, that's where the steady batch from this next inroads. and i would say along about 7:00 along the mass-new hampshire border to shortly after 8:00 or 9:00 in the lakes region, that's when the snow will begin to pick up. but to the out of the there's a mix. notice ri
