tommie, what are they saying about the incident? matt and robert, they are saying within minutes of entering the school, staff noticed the men and asked why they were there. their answers are what grabbed the attention of local police. the two men are identified as university of south dakota students. they first told staff they were at yankton high school to kill time before an exam, but later changed their story, saying they knew school-- but couldn't come up with a name. after being asked to leave, police were contacted and because of the suspicious behavior, authorities pulled the two teenagers over. that's when yankton police found two unloaded weapons in the trunk. m "i think for anybody that's unsettling, but the way it was handled and as quickly as it was handle din the school i don't know that we could have done that any better. we don't want two oindividuals coming into our school unannounced efining how our school is all about and our community and i feel very strongly about that. i would not have had kids in our school to

"we then pair up with one of the children and we walk them around the store and give them an opportunity, each child gets to spend $100 and they buy gifts for their family members," said sioux city police department crime prevention officer, chad sheehan. 30 kids from around the community paired up with a shopping buddy from the force and hit the aisles of walmart. "it's justnother way for us to try to take care of our elderly here in the sioux city area and our 5 counties to make sure they're getting at least one good meal a day," said connections area volunteer recruiter and healthy legs instructor, stan wisnieski. volunteers from around the community deliver hot meals to homebound seniors. nebraska senator tommy garrett recently took a trip to minnesota last month to study how that state has implimented strict medical marijuana bill. he says he's not in favor of recreational legalization. but, he does say giving families an alternative to a treatment has shown success.
