one tore a 21 tornadoes touched down around ohio and indiana. the strongest tornado occurred in woodburn, indiana. winds 160 miles an hour. it was 500 yards wide and stayed on the ground more than five-and-a-half miles. the good news is no fatalities were reported. only a few injuries coming out of that big tornado outbreak. but, i want to show you the tornado count so far this year. here's the average number of tornadoes that we should see. and then, you can see right 904 tornadoes. so over 200 tornadoes below average for this time of the year which is very good news. we are now out of the peak of tornado season. but here in the valley, we dealing with monsoon. 2.17 inches out of phoenix sky harbor. 1.96. so we are just under a quarter inch above average and we still have about a month to do here in the season. so we could still see about another inch of rain so far. so, certainly, some good news dealing with, the cooler temperatures. it was 111 on august 16. nothing but a downward trend sense. look at the temperature for today. 97 degrees out
