. >> "abc7 news" meteorologist drew touma is here with the details on that. >> for the 12th time this month, we have a high surf advisory in effect. and it's the frequency of these events that has eroded away that coast. live doppler hd showing you it's a quiet picture here locally. the wider view shows you we have a big storm that's churning off the coast in the pacific. what it is doing is creating high surf and pushing all that seawater up and down the california coast. right now, current wave heights right off the coast lien between 7 to 10 feet, but they are forecasted to rise. so a high surf advisory is in effect from thursday afternoon to friday evening, waves as high as 16 feet. the biggest concern, beach erosion along the coastline. but the south wind is kicking up 60 degree temperatures. 68 in oakland. 9 degrees above average. and san jose, the high so far, 64 degrees. so it's a mild day across the region and looking ahead, mild temperatures stick with us through 5:00. just some high clouds streaming in. by 9:00, it's a mixture of stars and clouds and upper 40s to mid 50s. u
