for more on this we go to nbc's tracie potts. tracie, what can we expected to? >> reporter: we got a bit of a sneak peek because of course zuckerberg is already here. just showed a meeting with the senators plus his testimony has already been posted online. so, he sat down with four key senators who will be part of that grilling today. and in his written testimony, zuckerberg essentially falls on the sword and says that he is personally responsible for what's happened. some key passages from that testimony. he says that it's clear that facebook did not do enough to prevent harm. he talks about fake news, foreign interference in the election, hate speech and of course the order of the day here, data privacy. he goes on to say they didn't take a broad enough approach of their responsibility. he says it's his mistake, he apologizes and says he is responsible for what's happened. now, the testimony focuses largely on cambridge analytica, that firm that harvested the data, what's believed to be 87 million users. but there are thousands, maybe even millions of other c

. >> glor: margaret joins us now from washington, as does ben tracy from seoul.garet, to you first. how much does this summit today, then, raise the stakes for president trump's meeting with kim jong-un? >> reporter: well, the trump-kim meeting is going to be much more difficult. at this point, kim has not agreed to stop developing nuclear weapons, to shut down his reactors, or even to allow in weapons inspectors to verify what is actually in his arsenal. so he is in a stronger negotiating position than any berth korean leader before him. and president trump will have to enforce any potential agreement. >> glor: all right, now to ben tracy. ben, the big question is can south korea trust kim jong-un? >> reporter: well, jeff, as of now, i'd say they're giving him the benefit of the doubt. yes, in the past, north korea has not lived up to some of its agreements, but this summit did seem to feel different than past korean summits. you had a real rapport between these two leaders. they even talked about building trust. kim jong-un said he doesn't want this just to be

leader at the white house in the first state visit since he took office in january 2017 nbc news's tracie potts is in washington for us this morning tracie, what can we expect these two leaders to be discussing when they meet >> reporter: so a couple of things i mean, there are a lot of policy things that they need to talk about, this joint strike recently in syria and what's the way forward there. what do they do if there's another threat or if there's another chemical weapons attack. how do they deal with syria and russia, terrorism, the economy a number of things they're expected to talk about north korea. one thing that's weighing heavily on the minds of europeans that macron may be able to have some impact on is whether or not the united states is going to pull out of the iran nuclear deal he's being sent here to some degree as an emissary for other countries like germany that want to see the united states stay in this deal. they think the u.s. pulling out is a bad precedent because they don't believe that iran has broken the terms of the deal they also think it's a bad precedent for
