we started to hear chants of justice for travis. then when the guilty first degree murder the courtroom erupted in cheer. inside the courtroom they cried very very emotional. jodi arias was subdued. she bit her lip and she looked ba back at her mother grandmother and aunt. she looked very different from the woman who famously said to an interviewer from a jail house interview, actually, that no jury would ever convict her. shep. >> shepard: it's not over, dan, tell us what's next. >> that's right. tomorrow at 1:00. the jury, areas, attorneys, everyone else will go back to the courtroom and they will start again what's called the aggravation phase. the prosecution will argue that this was a heinous crime with such cruelty that she should be eligible for the death penalty. if the jury agrees, the trial moves into the penalty phase. that's where the defense tries to save jodi's life by explaining mitigating factors for what he she did. that could take a week, perhaps two weeks. we will see some witnesses there. the victim's family mean

travis is still dead., yeah, that moment when she is, you know, talking about how she feels and she didn't expect it to be premeditation, i think she -- she coined of noise there was premeditation, there's so many things. you look at the text message between travis and jodi on the 26th when travis said i don't want you to be sorry, i want you to know how evil i think you are. and even offering that he's willing to tell people what she's done. nobody really knows what travis means when he's saying that but people in the inner circle think travis new something pretty deep about jodi. two weeks later she stole the gun. and two days after she stole the gun and on the 30th she had an hour and a half at the message with me on google and chat saying she wanted to come see me. she died her hair, bought the gas can. she got the car, change it had from the color from red because she didn't want the police in know and got out there. there's so much premeditation in there i think she's constant by manipulating. >> why

where travis lived was probably only 20 minutes from where we are now. people were so drawn partly in phoenix because of how close it was but around the world probably just because of the sort of graphic nature of the crime and i think jodi herself became sort of a household name just because of how much of a liar she really was. it was something new all the time. then when she took the stand and we were in there for the first couple days of her cross, and the first couple days of her cross she was just nasty. she was obnoxious with the prosecutor and really stand offish and incredibly sarcastic and i think people were kind of hooked on hating her a lot of the time. >> i think it is safe to say a lot of people ended up hating this person. is it a bit barbaric for hundreds of people outside a courthouse to be cheering another person's demise? >> i guess it sort of depends on your view on her. many have seen, especially through social media, she has a twitter page her friend runs for her and there ar lot of supporters and i'm sure they'd be horrified by wh

alexander travis suffered in this murder. if they agree cruelty was in fact an aggravator that existed in this murder then they will move on to the penalty phase and that's where the aggravators and mitigators would be presented in possibly many days. i can't tell you how many days it would take. there's been a mitigation specialist jeffrey and i were just talking about working with jodi arias for months and months and visiting her in jail. she's been in jail for four and a half years so plenty of time to assess just what quality she is as a person and how much, i hate to say it, it really comes down to the qualities of jodi as a person, whether she is worth saving, or the a essential evils of this woman and whether she is worth putting to death. so two more phases. >> and, wolf, just to make clear, jodi arias, herself, has the option of testifying in both of these proceedings. this first proceeding about cruelty and then in the broader penalty phase jodi arias, who is a very familiar person to this jury, she testified for al
