bay, the tri-valley. you can see from concord, spotty showers near san mateo, across the peninsula as well as down near saratoga. a few showers near milpitas as well as allen rock. you can see some patches of blue, a little bit of sunshine, also the clouds. temperatures are running in the mid-50s. 57 in concord, 55 in oakland. 56 in livermore, 54 for santa rosa. here's the satellite and radar view. we can see that dip in the jet stream as well as that trough of low pressure bringing the wet weather. here's what you can expect. we still have that unsettled weather, so off and on showers as we head through the day. again, could see a brief heavy downpour, an isolated thunderstorm. as we head through tomorrow we're going to catch a break from the rain. a mix of sun and clouds for thursday. and then for friday we're tracking another system to roll in, and that will bring the return of the rain for your friday. now, because of the rain today the good news for allergy sufferers, the pollen count is down today.

. >> temperatures in the 70s around the tri-valley.omorrow, for the ongoing plans around the tri-valley, maybe just a little warmer, as we wrap up the weekend with more sunshine. it looks a bit more like a summer night around the bay area, as the fog is filling back into san francisco. you can see there around the golden gate bridges, temperatures are in the low 50s after a high of 71. 50 degrees in dublin, on our way to low 40s four tomorrow morning. a high of 70 in san jose for the first time of november 12th, we managed a 70-degree day. warmer tomorrow with a 71. one issue, as the temperatures climb and the rain has stopped for now, pollen falling from the skies. cedar, pine, and oak running high and as our temperatures continue to warm up, you might notice this being more of an issue. you probably don't want to see rain right now, but by monday, tuesday, ifallergies, some of that rain might be good. might see an upper 30 around the north bay. so a chilly start, but look at these highs. low to mid 70s around san jose for your sunday

for the tri-valley, we are seeing some lighter showers there as well as contra costa county where it will be off and on. as you get ready to head out earlier this moe eom heavy rain moving through santa clara and approaching downtown san jose. so most of this coming through with the brunt of the storm this morning and some gusty winds. then we'll start to see the activity taperin so looking at our 24 hour tomorrow total, santa little m than an inch of rain there. richmond, more t inchan jose ha quarter of an inch. it's been much lighter and starting to get going in livermore with a tenth of an inch of rain so far. we are going to see waves of the heavy rain tapering off by 8:00 or 9:00. then throughout the rest of the day, scattered showers off and on rain. even some breaks in between. so you may get outside and get some things done in time for the evening commute we start to see the rain getting going once again for parts of the bay area. but then tapering off as we go into tomorrow morning we are going to see this rain winding down. for a look at how much more of the rain that we'r

here as we take a live look in dublin, you can see the fog you deal with, driving through the tri-valleyst all of the rain and the hail those thunderstorms have moved away from the bay area, so we are going to see some sunshine today. as you make your way out the door in antioch, as you drive, it's going to be in the low 40s for the next several hours, but it will be warming up fairly quickly going into late morning and early afternoon. eventually we'll make it up to about 62 degrees in antioch and 63 in concord. 61 will be the high in palo alto with san francisco reaching 58 degrees, and some low 60s in the north bay. and with the sunshine today, also comes the chilly temperatures, now that the cold front has moved through, and we are going to need some sunglasses today, so i think the coat and sunglasses will have you prepared for all that we have coming our way, and then tomorrow, we have another system that will be dropping in, starting to increase our cloud cover, but it looks like even as it passes, it will be dry. so we're all clear today, notice the cloud cover starting to come i

and it will be heavier for the east bay, even into the tri-valley as well as the south bay as we have not seen as much of that rain. the sierra it's still going to be snowing all throughout today. all throughout tomorrow. then it gradually starts to wind down on friday. so if you're making plans to head to the sierra you know that the travel will be treacherous at times. we are looking at the possibility of another one to two feet of snow, but this will be for those higher elevations. our seven day forecast shows that after we get through the scattered showers and the storms today, tomorrow it starts to taper off. highs only reach into the mid 50s once thatnt passes. friday is looking dry. saturday, we will have a chance of some quick moving showers moving through. and then we'll get a chance to dry out and by early next week our temperatures start to come up just a few more degrees. san francisco looking at some cool temperatures by the end of the week. once again, that cold front passes by. heading over to mike, you have been tracking the impact of the rain on the road. >> we have a

extending over towards the tri valley. as we get a closer look, the rain has been coming down at a rate of a tenth of an inch per hour around walnut creek and conco concord. for the south bay, it's lighter in san jose but heavier for morgan hill and gilroy. this rain tapers off today. more on that in a few minutes. it's a tough start across the bay bridge. >> everywhere is getting hit with the rain. no one is getting that lucky break. we are having an unlucky break on the bay bridge. traffic is backed up here. not all the cash lanes are open. you can see the rain coming down. wet conditions. that backup is about 20 minutes earlier than you would expect. a murky view from emeryville. westbound has a slow drive over towards treasure island. they're removing a crash and maybe two vehicles from the roadway. that is causing a slow drive from oakland in towards san francisco. that blue puddling, ponding in san francisco, throughout the east bay, contra costa county, brentwood some puddling. all this radar activity that we are wa

soba tri-valley a little slowing out of the altamont.the 50s range, great coming out of the altamont pass. the cluster of crashes, a few more than the last time we took a look, a couple of them reports of roadways but nothing major blocking any of your freeways except for 980 at 880, the latest to come in. this may have a spinout and your fast lane might be affected for a few minutes. north 880 everything is moving out of the roadway. the speed sensors are all green, toward walnut creek, 680 southbound and folks split off here toward 24, a nice, easy drive past the walnut creek b.a.r.t. station, there are no delays reported for b.a.r.t. because b.a.r.t. is not officially open but tells me there are three trains that are starting to run again no delays reported there. no weather related delays for the ferry systems and we don't expect anything, things are a l in the last five minutes. we couple of cash lanes that aren't yet open. we'll watch and it will thin out a little bit. back to you. >> thank you. >>> this movsight and no enforcement

even the tri-valley moves nicely. we had this earlier crash at whipple dyer, southbound in toward union city and that did slow more in through hayward and the deal there is that as folks found slowing and heard about a crash past the san mateo bridge, more moved over to west 92 if they're headed to the peninsula, early that keeps the dumbarton bridge lighter. san mateo bridge builds a little more across that flat section. no major issues over there. south 680 at treat we have the activity on the shoulder after the earlier car fire. things are calming down, smoothing out as the build comes in out of concord. you'll see more traffic toward caldecott. backup toward highway 4 and on our waze system we have more bause there are a lot of wazers out there, a cluster of reports there. one from jeff g. talks about a major crash but in the backup, someone gave a comment saying thank you, it was a bad one. there is another comment from chappin 510. join nbc bay area wazers, and we can get you more insight as you have your condit

the leading edge of that rain making it closer to the tri-valley.ive through dublin, right now on 580, it's still quite dry, and then a wet commute for san francisco, going across the golden gate bridge. we are going to see at times the rain off and on today, and then it may pick up for this afternoon, especially for the north bay, by about 3:00 to 4:00, going into this evening. all of that heavy rain quickly sweeps through the east bay, as well as the south bay, and the peninsula, and then mostly moving out by tomorrow morning, but there still may be some lingering, light showers for early tomorrow morning, but the rest of saturday is looking pretty nice. our rainfall totals could be anywhere from a half of an inch to close to an inch for just some of where the heavier rain sets up, and then as we go into sunday, mostly cloudy, highs in the upper 60s, but on monday another storm system moves in, and it could be a soggy and chilly week next week, highs reaching into the upper 50s and low 60s, and san francisco also going to see the rain tapering off
