first, we check in with meteorologist drew tuma. drew: that's incredible.e are not out of the woods, so to speak, just yet. there is more rain on the way. high surf warnings, look at this, 19 to 20 feet. high surf warnings in effect. pressing down here into parts of the south and east bay, fremont, newark, light to moderate showers falling at the hour. we are watching this next line right here, it is going to move through later this morning and bring more scattered downpours with a threat for isolated flooding and the potential for a thunderstorm. it is still windy out there. 31 in novato. a wind advisory is affect. on the exclusive storm impact scale this morning it was a level three, downpours are on the way to create more isolated potential and breezy, gusty winds. here's the line moving through at 6:30 and by 8 a.m. we have downpours still with us. in the early afternoon it moves out, scattered downpours with isolated flooding that is very light. late this afternoon we are drying out. that's the weather, let's get a check on the traffic from jobina. job

let's go over to meteorologist drew tuma for more.rew: we are in the window right now where the highest concern is court flooding and strong damaging winds. look at the surface winds right now gusting at 50 miles per hour in the half moon bay. it's a similar story, gusting to 40 at sfo. and there's a recipe for a mess of an evening over the next several hours. winds and hills not out of the question, some of these spots could gust close to 80 miles per hour as this atmosphere moves through. watch the timestamp, 9:00, we are still seeing widespread wind gusts between 40 and 50 miles per hour or higher. that -- then we have several hours to get through with these strong winds. even by midnight the coast is still blowing at 50 miles per hour. we had wind gusts close to already miles per hour. it's not until the early morning hours tomorrow behind the cold front that the winds will actually back off, this is a long-duration winds that we have here. thus, we have a high wind warning in effect for the entire region. between 50 and 60 miles
