u.c. berkeley professor robert reich said that if you look back at u.s. history these are the moments these types of crackdowns were a crackdown that may or may not have been coordinated as a lot of reports out there have said these are the moments that actually make movements like this stronger so i think that even if you look at just what's going on in new york city today the fact that thousands of people have come out that they have been on the streets all day it shows that the movement really has been reenergized it's not fizzling out and it's not dying and so we really have to start wondering if this movement is going to need a leader if the movement is going to have to start focusing on specific goals and specific actions and ways to get about that yesterday we also were just like speaking about what's been going on at u.c. berkeley or occupy callus they're calling it there they have a little bit of a more insular concern not only are they part of the occupy movement overall but they also are worried about the you see regions and. big cuts to educat

u.c. berkeley, about a half-mile from that school's anti-wall street demonstration. campus police say they shot and wounded a man inside the business school hen he raised a gun. several students were in the school at the time. thankfully, though, no one was injured. it's not clear if the suspect was part of the occupy movement. >>> and there are major, new developments in the penn state sex abuse scandal. the assistant coach who witnessed the alleged abuse now says he did stop the attack as it happened. mike mcqueary also says in a new e-mail message that he went to police about the incident, which contradicts earlier statements. >>> and the mother of an alleged abuse victim is reacting with anger to jerry sandusky's comments about the sex abuse case against him. the woman tells abc news that sandusky did himself more harm than good by going on national tv and admitting that he showered with boys. >>> and another former student has come forward to say he, too, was sexually abused by a professor at the school. the man claims penn state ignored his claims. but he later

u.c. berkeley researchers look into bay bridge traffic patterns for a year after it raised and rearranged toll lanes out here. the study found a huge majority of those who decided to stop using it, for them it was because they had to fork over that $2.50. a car pool needs three people. so, estimates are that about 13,000 commuters stopped using the lane. so, where did everyone go? cash lanes are up just a little bit. but there is no one answer. >> there's been an increase in trips prior to 5:00 am, an increase in trips after 10:00 am. that accounts for another small part of the story. we also note an increase in b.a.r.t. ridership during the peak hours. that probably accounts for a small portion of this. and, of course, this is all against a backdrop of an economic decline. >> reporter: now the interchange, especially for drivers coming up northbound interstate 880, base toll of $6 during the peak and $4 off peak is saving drivers an estimated 15 minutes just trying to get on to the bridge. the findings will be presented wednesday, formally. what do they do with this? add in more fast tra
