., look, i've been surprised by the strength in u.p.s.eresting but with the consumer not slowing down, what we're seeing in retail sales, there's no reason to think they're going to disappoint. they have more price discipline in terms of what they charge their customers and who they do business with. i think it should be okay. >> shannon, take us beyond the mega caps. which stocks, if any, jump out to you that you'll be watching more than some others? >> yeah, i mean, we have a number of large industrials next week, scott. i think that's another key point is this relative re-acceleration in manufacturing and the potential for infrastructure spend coming out of the inflation reduction act, does that create -- kevin made some trades in his space with cat. does that create some fundamental enthusiasm for the industrial sector, or does it -- is it just too late cycle to get excited about cyclicals. looking at expectations in the industrial space is an interesting point outside of the mega cap tech next week. >> what about you, josh? >> look,

. >> i like to talk about the broader transports u.p.s. reported this morning they reported a soft macro environment. their shares down today. some of your other peers in the ltl space also reporting their shares moving lower. everybody thought your stocks and volumes would see a big boost. have you seen that play out? >> frank, as i probably told you earlier, we saw about a 3,000 shipment per day increase when rc closed their doors. we're still seeing that. we're also seeing an increase from others of our competitors where they basically took home too much of that business and we're picking up some of their business we're up over 51,000 shipments per day. and the previous months of this year we were averaging around 47,000 shipments per day we're seeing an increase in shipments. the weight per shipment is down about 70 pounds. i think customers are still shipping orders. they're just shipping a lower quantity of those goods out to their customers. >> you've been with old dominion since 1992 but as a ceo you're over 100 days on the job whe
