a former doctor at uc-berkeley has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting patients. today he was in court, that's where we find teresa with the latest. >> reporter: pam, the court hearing just wrapped up. he pled not guilty to nine counts of sexually assaulting six victims. this is video of him walking into court on thursday here in alameda county. prosecutors allege that the 52 year-old molested patients at uc- berkeley is health services center. in that case prosecutors said he legally penetrated his male victim during an exam. prosecutors say in the next case, it was a similar crime with a different victim. for prosecutors say he assaults of six victims over five years. at a news conference, police say was in march when a victim came forward and they started to investigate. they believe there could be more victims. >> at this point we do not know of any other victims. in a case like this it is not unusual to have coverage of other victims. i would that be surprised if that happens. >> we feel that case is grossly over card church-- overcharged. were making motions

police say that kevis assaulted six male victims while he was a doctor on uc berkeley's campus. dr.kevis stayed silent as he walked down the aisle with his attorney. >> we really want to understand how this happened. there were no record of formal patient complaints in the physicians report. >> reporter: kevis passed his last review in 2010 which was an extensive check to recredit him. >> i am actually a patient of his, or i was seen him before. and you know, didn't suspect anything like that. >> reporter: defense attorney robert bellis says dr. kevis is openly gay and the school used to refer young gay students because he was sensitive to their case. some of the students may have been sexually active and may have required tests. the incidents occurred between 2006 and 2007. kevis license has been temporarily suspended. there are more victims out there and they would like them to come forward as well as anyone else who has information. reporting live from oakland, janine de la vega, ktvu news. >>> a sacramento teenager who says she might be bisexual has been expelled from school

youa sudden spike in peeping incidents in uc-berkeley. elizabeth wenger reports from the campus with what police are doing to stop this disturbing trend. >> reporter: we spoke to campus police earlier today and they say there have been you six peeping tom incidents since last december all but one in the dorm. one happened on a campus library. as you said, the two most recent incidents happened just last week. both involving women in showers. one of those incidents the woman was showering in the residence -- in the restroom of one of the residents of unit one. she said a man was peeking over the partition, but when she screamed the peeper fled. the suspect is described as having black spikey hair. less than an hour later another woman was showering in a different campus dorm when her floormate spotted someone peering over the partition. police arrested a 17-year-old man in that case not affiliated with the university. a lieutenant with the berkeley police department says the number of incidents is concerning. >> students should be cautious

supervisor chu: i came to the area to pursue a master's degree in public policy at the uc- berkeley school. ever since then, i fell in love with what a wonderful area the bay area is. >> what motivated your interest in politics? supervisor chu: to be frank, i never saw myself in an elected position at all. i had grown up in southern california, and during the first day of the los angeles riots, my parents had their cars stolen at gunpoint. they were left out and had to pay someone $100 to get back to chinatown. it really influenced me. we had a restaurant at the time, and at the time, we were always worried, watching the news, to see whether or not the restaurant would be looted, whether or not it would go up in fire. that was something that was a big concern and worry for my family at the time. i remember thinking even at that age how important it was to consider what the economics were in communities, whether people had or felt that they had opportunities or did not have opportunities, and what role it was that government played in those outcomes. that is what really put me on the path t
