some of the showers already starting to move into ukiah as well as clear lake. we can see the snow in the upper elevations. the wet weather is going to continue to quickly move in as we see a couple of rounds of some active weather headed our way. so here's how it shapes up as we go hour by hour. if you have the nbc bay area app, you can get alerts as the rain is approaching your location. give but 15, 20 minutes to get inside as we will see some of the rain in the north bay at about 5:00 this evening. and then going into parts of the east bay by 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, you can see the progression as it continues to make its way farther to the south and just spreading across the bay area. there may be some pockets of heavy rain, some gusty winds picking up. some of the gusts may reach 25 to 30 miles an hour. going into tomorrow, we may see the potential of some thunderstorms with some small hail and some lightning. that is something we haven't seen in quite a while. there may be enough energy with the system on bring us that as we go into tomorrow. still at 11:0048. w

francis drake boulevard fairfax, lucas valley area rainfall totals so far try close to an inch there in ukiahviously everyone else less than that 4,500 in santa rosa a hundredth of an inch in san jose. we're still counting. these are just rainfall amounts so far. comfortable right now in the 50s and the 60s not so comfortable mount rose. it is a very windy view it is snowing right now in blue canyon. so in the sierra, nevada, you can see that snow is just coming down pretty good at this hour and we are under they are under a winter weather advisory four to nine inches of wet snow up to 15 inches for the peaks winter weather advisory above 5,500 feet until 11 pm tonight. a slippery roads and reduced visibility exploratorium cameras, certainly showing you a rainy view here in san francisco and visibility is not so great. it's a level 1 through late tonight scattered showers slippery roads light in terms of accumulation. so here's that next band going through as we head into 8pm 10 pm mainly an e-space south bay santa cruz mountains area and through midnight. we'll continue to see those showers
