we zoom and we've got cloverdale winds are up to ukiah. also looking at some pretty moderate rainfall at this point. you head south from there and it's mostly light. showers around center fell in sausalito, oakland over to lafayette. that rainfall you just showed you in our walnut creek and is definitely going to be picking up in the next few moments. it's moderate rainfall. you're also seeing that on the bay bridge. currently rainfall really stalls out at the san mateo bridge south of their conditions are dry and actually really calm still for san jose. so quite the disparity. again, between north and south still breezy 30 to 40 mile per hour gusts around richmond, one of our windiest spots this morning. as for current temperatures, it's 50's to low 60's mid 60's over in livermore in san jose which are comparatively clear spots. as far as the rest of the day goes, scattered showers will continue heavy rainfall to the north bay cool and breezy as the way today will feel tonight. we'll start to see that atmospheric river dropping south and

clearlake, ukiah.ree, four five inches potentially six inches of rain falling in parts of northern sonoma, northern napa county. that is why we have that flood risk starting on wednesday. and that's why i want folks in these areas to do their storm preps today and tomorrow, have them complete by wednesday morning, just as that rain begins to arrive. so looking at rainfall totals through the rest of the week, i mean, it is not out of the question that there could be some areas in parts of mendocino, lake county, northern portions of sonoma and napa county that we're closing in on a foot of rainfall outside of the north bay, a lot less rain, less than an inch of rain in the south bay, the inland east bay, probably an inch of rain in the city through the week that we can handle, but we're focusing our attention, certainly on the north bay for the next 5 to 7 days. here's the accuweather seven day forecast. sunny and breezy today. increasing clouds tomorrow. by wednesday and thursday, the worst impacts wil

we're talking you know, ukiah santa rosa, sonoma.it isn't really until notice friday, saturday when that active weather pattern continues, that we start to see more of an impact to areas south of the golden gate. also look at the cierra. this blue and pink color that you see here. that's that wintry mix. so if you're going to be out and about on wednesday through thursday and you live in the south bay, you might not get that impact just yet. but folks who live in the north bay, we're going to start to see accumulations now lining up heading into saturday and sunday. we get a second atmospheric river. once we get to that weekend forecast, because of the rain that we've seen, another thing we monitor for when we're talking about atmospheric rivers is how they stall out. so if it stalls out over a certain area for a prolonged period of time, think about the rain rates per hour. this is when we start seeing concerns for flooding. so if you look at the key right up top, notice those pink colors are more inching towards that 2 to 3 inch. b

so ukiah, over to clear lake areas that are really seeing it coming down heavy, those small streams could get very small and very quickly with the rainfall intensity that we're seeing. you head south of santa rosa and it definitely becomes a little bit less intense by the time you reach the peninsula and the east bay shoreline, we do have light to moderate showers. now, winds are still very much factors gusting as high as 40 miles per hour, especially out along the coastline. 50's for current temperatures, oakland, berkeley, san francisco, each sitting in the mid to upper 50's right now. and as far as our afternoon is concerned, we are going to see a comparatively calm. one that rainfall intensity shifts further northward, which means we should see some dry times for most of the bay. tonight, though, the atmospheric river meanders south. and with that setting us up for our rainiest day across the whole day, starting tomorrow. michael. >> thanks good morning, everyone. this is a live look right now at the 101 lanes. this is over in the santa rosa area. you can see it's extremely wet and yo

ukiah, cloverdale and then stopping this at 930.k how rainy it is in the north bay from santa rosa, all the way down to san francisco. and then the second half of the day between, oh, say about noontime and 2 p.m, it pushes through the east bay. the peninsula, and by 2:00 notice it is pushed through the bay area. so rainfall amounts, maybe a few showers behind it and nothing too significant. but still, we're all looking at around a 10th of an inch to 2/10 higher elevations could see upwards of a third of an inch. so this is right on through monday afternoon. and as we look at that first system, notice what happens as we go towards wednesday and the rest of the week. the rainfall accumulation stays about right here. we may get a little more in santa rosa, san francisco, not a whole lot more. so although we're going to see the clouds and chances of rain the second half of the workweek, this one on monday is the one that will deliver the tip in the rain bucket for us 69 in fremont. look for upper 60s in vallejo, maybe a few 70s short l

as you get out there on the roads, we take a look a little bit more north areas closer to ukiah are starting bit more compared to what we were dealing with earlier this morning. let's zoom in to some local communities though starting off widespread throughout santa rosa, napa, and of course sonoma too. we've been seeing light to heavy rain all morning long, and those numbers are continuing to add up off into the east bay. antioch brentwood dealing with some light to moderate rain there. and the winds are strong in these communities. we've seen wind gusts anywhere up to around 15 to 20mph, gusting up to around 35 and 40mph. just along our coastline. we head over into san francisco. it is gray and it is cool out there. you can just barely make it out next to me over the bay bridge right now from oakland over into san francisco. we're also dealing with moderate rain and this atmospheric river is starting to tilt a little bit more south into communities like san jose. that have been dealing with dry conditions so far. it's going to look completely different within the next couple of hours as thi
