you're in union city. what's the latest? >> reporter: good morning to you, mike. we just heard from a chp sergeant who gave us an update. they expect it to probably be at least another hour and a half before they're able to open up northbound 880 on the border with union city and hayward. one reason it's taking so long, they have their major accident investigation team out here trying to recreate this accident in which two people were killed. to give youd 10:40 last night there was a small tour bus headed northbound on 80. this was a construction zone at the time, and for whatever reason, it didn't stop. it was stop and go traffic, but it ended up hitting one car. it went on top of tlexis. it killed the driver in that car and other passengers and through a chain reaction it pushed a second car ups big rig a, drivers of thei passengers, and the tour bus operator and the big rig drivers were not hurt but they are both cooperating and tour bus driver is also as i mentioned cooperating. they do not suspect drugs and alcohol were involved. they will look to see'driver
