in fact, our operating team said last week was the best week in all of our records at united airlinesperations. so we're running well. the truth is the whole industry is running a lot better. i think everyone has done, to some you know, to greater or lesser degree, what united has done, which is simply fly less, build more buffer into the system. and we've built that buffer into the system, and that's letting us overcome more of the challenges. look at the impact, the devastating impact that hurricane ian had on florida and the southeast. while it had devastating human and toll on buildings and infrastructure, airlines came back pretty quickly and more so than they've ever done in the past. i think that's an indication that the industry is just building more buffer into the system, and that buffer is letting us recover quickly. and i think also, by the way i know the faa is focused on the holidays, and they're pulling more levers, whether it's overtime or having people come in for extra shifts in order to cover for things, and they're focused on it. and so i'm hopeful that the holiday

airlines. really having a labor moment right now. pilots from delta, united, southwest and american are all in contract talks with their companies. united airlines pilots just voted against a tentative contract agreement from their airline. delta though really making the most dramatic move here saying that in a vote of 96% of its pilots from its chapter of the airline pilots association, 99% voted in favor of a strike if necessary. delta pilots are really pushing for better pay and in some cases restructured pay, especially since they point at high revenues reported by the airline in the third quarter. the pandemic rebound has pretty much hit its peak now. delta says, quote, delta pilots are not on strike. this authorization vote will not affect the operation for the customers. we are confident the parties will reach an agreement that is fair and equitable as we always have in past negotiations. this is mostly a rubber stamp move but a pretty big one. still a dozen more moves will need to take place before a strike were truly to come to pass. the holiday trav

united airlines says it expects more than 440,000 customers to fly through sfo over the thanksgiving holiday. we've just checked with the bay area's four major airports. there are no significant problems to report. taking the live look outside now from our sutro tower camera. overlooking beautiful san francisco a clear night out there, but we have big changes on the way tonight and later this week. let's get right to spencer christian with a peek ahead. okay, jr. the best way for me to illustrate to you what's going on with the this cold snap coming our way is to give you a look at our future radar image and you can see we've got a series of cold fronts dropping down towards the bay area from the gulf of alaska and you can tell that air is cold by all the snowtown north now the first cold front is going to swing through tomorrow. it's gonna break up. it's not going to produce any rainfall here, but it will reinforce the progression of cold air into the bay area. so for monday morning overnight monday night into tuesday morning look for low temperatures to drop down into the upper 20s
