the road out here in front of us is nebraska avenue here in northwest washington. it is a mile from the tv station as we start our morning out and about. we'll do increasing radii away from the district, but this is just off nebraska avenue. all of a sudden, everything is changing. this is one big sheet of ice out here in this neighborhood. we are on 38th street here off nebraska. there are ruts in the road where people have driven before, so it's a mixed blessing. it has packed the snow down to ice. this all started yesterday morning. if you feel like you are losing your traction, get over to the krup chi parts on the side, but you extra caution. i have a funny feeling that danella is going to be busy today. >>> i have the same feeling. like you saw in chuck's camera, it is hit or miss. the main roads are looking good. the side streets are tricky. start in northwest with an alert, d.c. police are tweeting out about manhole covers missing. also, florida is closed at connecticut avenue. again, that's because of missing manholes. now we'll head over to i-95 northbound
