weather channel meteorologist mike seidel is in west milford, new jersey and joins us now. mike, what is the situation there today? >> reporter: first off, we were in west milford yesterday, veronica. we're about an hour away now in morris township. we're still in new jersey. still a lot of power out in the state right now. about a third of a million homes without power. way down. pse and g is reporting 7% 0% of customers that have been without power are on. this is a big hardwood, big oak tree. it took out these big transmission lines, cable, power, phone, and stretching down the street you can see that telephone pole with a transformer. it hasn't exploded. you can see how it's leaning. people can't get through here, obviously. in fact, i just saw one gentleman. he ventured out, looked left and right and put his arms up. first time he's been out on the road from his home since the storm hit on saturday. up in these areas, over a foot of snow. we're getting melting. the roads are not the issue today. it's cleaning up the mess. coming up here from around newark, there's debri

west and southwest. what we are watching now are two disturbances that will bring us rained. one in the west that's moving in our direction. that one brought some snow and for the -- snow and frozen precipitation. this big disturbance extending from cuba toward florida was expected to become a tropical storm but it never really quite got its act together. i pressure is in control. with this low moving in and the high and its characteristics of clockwise air moving around it, the flow starts pulling in some of that moisture from the south. as that high starts to ease off, we expect to see a chance of rain moving in by monday to tuesday. overall, high pressure is still in control. warm air stays in place, but with that front moving in from the west, we really don't have lots of a chance to avoid anything. it's really tuesday into wednesday we start to see it widespread. until then, sunset at 6:36 to go advisories on the bay. to be going up to around 80 degrees. overnight lows down around 50 degrees with mainly clear skies. for the next five days, 82 degrees tomorrow, 72 on tuesd
