if you're with us in atlantic city, 76. 77 in millville and temperatures in dover at 74.not a bad way to start off your tuesday. 24 hour temperature change map shows almost ten degrees warmer right now than this time year. same thing in philadelphia up eight degrees, up eight degrees in atlantic city and millville and temperatures are warmer in reading and lancaster. 79 degrees. just to put in the perspective yesterday we were below that average with a high of 77. into today 84. by wednesday we are up to 87 degrees. so we continue to see temperatures climbing and we're going to hit a plateau, i'll show you that in the seven day. but satellite radar shot shows it's not just us seeing quiet conditions with lots of sunshine. take a look at half of the country, really, this stretches back through the south down the midwest into the plain states. we have a big area of high pressure and that's off to to the southwest of us, that will continue to move closer to us heading into tomorrow and the day after and so our temperatures will begin to go up. but our futurecast shows us tue

for those seaside towns but as fox 29's brad sattin shows us everyone seems to be keeping their cool. he's checking thing out in atlantic city tonight. brad? >> reporter: iain keeping their cool so far. people of course as you mentioned remember super storm sandy take look behind me. you see the building there in the distance there were actual toll other buildings right beside it long gone now just vacant lots the concern as scott was talking about two storms coming through. the first one in the next 24, 48 hours. and then potentially the hurricane as you see this area the ground is very dry. it's like concrete which means flooding is a growing concern. this brigantine public works crew is digging out the grass which does not absorb water very well and replacing it with rocks and a porous material hoping to avoid the wrath of hurricane joaquin when 3-inches of rain fell here back in july, fourth street was quickly covered in almost a foot of water. it's these spots that flood easily that are especially at risk when this next hurricane hits. parts of long beach island are long used to flooding. this the scene just this mornin
