the usgs says 6.0 magnitude. the city of napa says 6.1 but the usgs is leaning toward that 6.0 number but it doesn't matter because the damage is significant. 3:30 in the morning, look at bricks that fell off. can you imagine if this happened at 3:30 in the afternoon? just amazing. colors are bad after an earthquake. see the yellow tape? it means can you not go inside the building at all. a lot of these buildings have red tags. that means are you not allowed to go inside the building because the damage is so significant inside. down here past the satellite trucks, yellow tape, red tape goes on for blocks and blocks here in downtown napa. a lot of the businesses are still shut down. they're concerned because this is one of their biggest weekends of the year coming up, labor day. they're concerned that a lot of people won't come. a lot of this town -- in fact most of the town is still open. you can hear sirens still going off. they're putting fencing up and down. this quake was a magnitude 6.0. 3:00 in the morning.
