the employee was based here in vacaville. pg&e not wanting to release anymore information out of respect for the family. we've also heard of four civilians who have been injured, those people suffering some burns. the fire activity here in vacaville is calmer this morning. but there is still -- there are still little fires popping up everyone where around here. you can see them on the hillside, would he have ale've in the streets. so firefighters are carefully watching this area. and they are attacking spot fires on pleasants valley road. they didn't want the wind to turn it into an out of control situation. the hennessey fire has been destructive and terrifying. it created a very intense situation on interstate 80 when it jumped the freeway. they had to shut it down. it is open now, we drove through there this morning without any fires. and the fires in the lnu lightning complex have destroyed 105 homes, many of those in vacaville. evacuation orders are still in place there, but in fairfield, the situation is improving. some

vacaville police are investigating an overnight shooting that left two people dead and one injured and was followed by a bizarre violent outburst by the suspected gunman at police headquarters. the triple shooting took place in the 500 block of williams street blocks away from the police department. jade hernandez can give us more details now about the gunman. good afternoon, jade. >> reporter: good afternoon. about 40 minutes ago, the vacaville police department gave their last update of the day on this investigation. the two men shot to death were only identified by their ages, 20 and 21 years old. they were identified as friends. as far as the suspected shooter, he was an 18-year-old. >> i think this is one of the most violent events that we've had in vacaville in a number of years. >> reporter: before 2:00 this morning, dispatch sent officers out to an apartment on the call of shots fired. >> we had a report of a male shortly before that, walking into our police department, holding a gun. >> reporter: police say he swung the gun around like a bat and swung at the windows. officers

we have continuing coverage right now of a vegetation fire in vacaville.know that more than 135 acres have already burned in that area. this fire happening near. >> quail canyon road and pleasants valley road cal-fire telling us the flames are currently 0% contain the solano county office of emergency services has issued an evacuation order for the area and that's affecting all homes on pleasants valley road and shale peak road north of highway one. 28 and west of pleasants valley road to the blue ridge county line. emergency crews right now encouraging people that are traveling in that area to, of course, use caution and to make way for emergency vehicles that are moving through that area. and we, of course, will be keeping you up to date with the very latest here on air and also online at a look at our forecast now. we're taking a live look at coit tower. the sun making its way through some of the haze. we've been seeing out there today. kron 4 meteorologist mabrisa rodriguez joining us with a look at what we're what we're seeing out their hot, dry weath
