but santa rosa, vallejo, fairfield, concord, livermore, all showing fog. it's there, even though the fog advisory was canceled. but we saw it yesterday when it was thick, thick, thick all over the place here yesterday. the system is on the way. first of what could be many. although many might favor more central and southern california than us. our system will move in tonight. heaviest rain, and i don't think it will be that heavy, would certainly favor areas closer to the coast. santa cruz mountains. some of the coastal hills, more so inland areas. this will not be a big deal inland. but will get some rain out of it. mid40sto low 50s. oakland and napa airport. again, the fog advisory was canceled. but eastern solano, contra costa county. maybe a little towards santa rosa, look to be still showing areas of fog. there's enough of a breeze stirring things up. east of novato. you see that breeze there sometimes can bring that fog back in for some. that's why there's still some pockets out there. but it's not widespread. a lost cloud cover for us this morning.

also, vallejo. 48 in heelsberg. areas of fog after this system has moved off. there really wasn't much wind with this system at all. but it had a lot of moisture. and some for those in the traffic. but it's out of the picture now. next system has a lot going forward. it's tapping into deeper moisture. and it will bring wide rain and also mountain snow. and then a really cold system is dropping in sunday night into monday. rain ends, partly cloudy. and rain and wind will take us into the weekend. there's going some 3, maybe 4- inch amounts out of this. favored areas. and the snow level will be coming way down. this could also have a pretty good watery, snow-water equivalent. usually 10-1 is the ratio. this might be more of a fluffy snow, by sunday into monday. and there's going to be winter storm warnings out. but again, right now, it's justice a watch. that would be friday night. 60s into the highs today. and then after today, they will take the plunge. upper 50s, 60s tomorrow. then mid-50s maybe by monday, pam. so a big drop in the next three to five days. >>

fairfield, vallejo, we see some slowing there but not a whole lot. as we removed that, we still see that green highlighting, where the rain has hit, and left that wet roadway. watch highway 4 through concord, the walnut creek interchange. it's been holding steady through contra costa county. little build for the upper east shore but nothing major. more traffic than we've seen the last couple of mondays so that is a note for you. we have slowing for 680 and 880, headed south of 580, your commute through the tri valley and fremont funnel at mission boulevard. we have southbound 101 slowing at university, there's a car with a flat tire blocking part of that slow lane. the build not so bad for the silicon valley but again, more than we've seen for the last couple of weeks and today as kari has been talking about, levi's stadium we have the college national football championship so there will be a lot of crowds, in fact folks who maybe haven't been through the area looking around, so watch for the drivers who are maybe uncertain. if you are considering op
