justin campbell kron. 4 news in the east bay repair work is under way along a very busy section of vasco road near dalton avenue in livermore, a chunk of that road was washed away, including several feet of land under the road. crews are building frames and pouring concrete to try to get the road stabilize. the work is expected take about 2 days. also in livermore, crews continue repair part of east bound 5.80, a retaining wall was damaged during the most recent storm. this is near the flynn road exit. you can see pieces of the wall still sliding down the hill today. crews temporarily shut down a 3rd lane to begin to repair the damage. caltrans says it's still working on a permanent fix for that retaining wall. >> and the officials in marin county dealing with a huge mudslide that caused this the road to buckle. this is redwood boulevard that runs along highway 101, it was shut down after tuesday's rain took out the hillside. something part of it under the road. a lot of damage there. the landslide as u shaped about 100 feet long, 15 feet deep pg and e is working to repair the damage and stab

now to livermore were sinkholes opened up alongside vasco road during the heavy rain. e sinkholes are on the shoulder of the road on north bong vasko between gary venta ranch road in dalton avenue. the city says emergency repairs began today. they're urging people to drive carefully through that construction zone. mudslide in marin county nearly snapped a gas pipeline. the slide buckled part of redwood boulevard adjacent to 101 in novato. and as ktvu tom vacar reports, that slide is now causing problems for pg and e. old redwood highway just north of nevada and just above south bong highway one. oh, one suffered a substantial landslide that destroyed several 100 ft of the marginal road. if it continues moving, it could actually threatened the freeway. the road leads to and now blocks access to popular olin paulie state park. but at the gaping maw at the top of the slide a pg and e high pressure 16 inch gas pipeline, one of two such pipes up there has been exposed, forcing the utility to cut the gas pressure way down for safety . geoscience engineers and our gas pipeline
