vegas reinvented itself as a place for families to vacation. m.g.m. resorts announced rocked in rio for may 2015. it's a 30-year-old musical venue and festival, one of the biggest in the world, drawing 85,000 per show, and hopes to attract more families to the vague as strip. new york's governor has decided to take a gamble himself and is expected to approve four full-service gambling resorts in new york state set to open next yeerk, including a $1.5 billion casino with botanic garden, ski scopes and year-round renaissance vary. it will have competition from peninsula, and an $800 casino in massachusetts. the governor is optimistic, hoping it will inject big money into stagnant regions of new york, like the kat skills. new york is looking to recreate the winning vague as performance and attract families. chubb is a casino writer for the philadelphia "daily news", and he says they can learn from mistakes, one of which is not building luxury hotels sooner. >> nor many years in atlantic city they were hotels with slot machines. things challenged and the
