juliette. >> reporter: hi, veronica. know, when the clock is ticking, i think shoppers head out no matter what rain or shine. if you bundle up, i have to tell you it's nice out here, we're at the broadway plaza in walnut creek where you can see that shoppers are strolling along and actually the rain has stopped. and according to merchants the rain earlier today didn't stop the heavy rush of people doing their holiday shopping. with umbrellas in hand, they braved the chilly rainy weather. and, in fact, we caught up with some shoppers this evening some last-minute shoppers. i asked them, are you out here doing the last-minute shopping or are you really just getting out of the house because it's finally not raining? >> weather prevents from you coming out or not? >> no. i'm normally very prepared but two children made it horrible this year so we are going last- minute this year. >> reporter: they have the rain jackets on so they are good to go. >> yup. >> reporter: all right. merry christmas. >> merry christmas. >> reporter
