vernon odom joined us with the latest on this investigation. >> reporter: good afternoon. police are investigating and looking hard into this case, i'm standing at a septa stop at frankford right adjacent to pennypack park, police say there is no clear pattern of recent sexual assaults around here. >> police say it happened around 10:00 saturday night at the entrance of pennypack park, a 30-year-old woman just left work and was waiting for septa to arrive when she was sexually assaulted by a man in his late teens or 20s, she said he approached and asked for the time and tried to grab her and drag her into the park and she was fondled and she struggled and he eventually fleed. >> she struggled and was able to break free of this male, with that he flees the location. >> this is a busy septa stop during the morning and evening hours, but late at night it could be a scary place. they say they would not walk alone in broad daylight. >> scary, i would not walk up here by myself. >> even in the daytime? >> yes, even in the daytime. >> this took place late at night on the weekend.
