investigative reporter vicky nguyen broke the story and joins us now with the new details. vicky? >> reporter: jess and raj, we have your first look at the consumer protection lawsuit filed against cisco, and this, the results of a year-long investigation into sysco's records by the state health department. inspectors say what we uncovered was long-standing and widespread. with first show you'd how sysco corporation was using outdoor public storage sheds across north mecke. raw meat, chicken and dairy kept on the floor for hours in the height of summer. food we tracked to restaurants and hotels where it was served to countless people. >> and we saw that this was really a common practice. >> reporter: patrick kennelly is the food safety chief for the state health department. what we were seeing was not an anomaly? >> what you're seeing does not appear to be an anomaly. from all the interviews we di, the information provided by marketing associates and drivers is very consistent that this has been a long-standing practice. >> reporter: kennelly said inspectors reviewed four years of
