and and virginia. let's begin where we're expecting the most trouble east of d.c.. >> darcy spencer is live in district heights with more. is it still snowing? looks like it is. >> reporter: yes i talked to you right about 4:00 we were getting that light wintry mix. then we were getting a little more though. it was coming down at a pretty good clip. now it's gone back to that wint we're along pennsylvania avenue in the district heights area of the county. traffic is beginning to pick up. at 4:00 there was hardly anyone on the roadway, but now it is starting to pick up with a few cars. and you can see as they pass by some of this is starting to stick on the roadways. so depending on the road temperature, it could start to get slick out here because we have been getting the frozen precipitation for about the last half hour.e maryland highway administration has been out here overnight hours, pre-treating the roadways with some salt brine and getting some chemicals out there to try to help make it a safer
